It must be nearing the end...I keep getting lazier on my posts. Sorry, bloggies!
No post today (let's just say it was a long day), but I will post a few pictures.

May 9, 2012
Oh no! I was just getting to bed and realized this was still sitting on my computer. All I had to do was click "publish." So sorry for the late post!
No Pics Today (though when I get around to it, I have a couple from yesterday).
Name: Flora
Date: 5-9-12
Arrived: 7:15am
Breakfast: 7:20am, some cereal
Snack: ----
Nap 1: ----
Lunch: 11:30am, all blueberries, cheese, veggies, and applesauce, plus some more
cereal with milk
Nap 2: 12:35-1:40
Snack 2: 3:10pm, mini wheats
BM: 1:50ish
Special notes: When we pulled into one of the back spots of the Co-op,
Flora said “Co-op!” :) She’s so good about identifying
locations. It still amazes me
sometimes.
Name: Samuel
Date: 5-9-12
Arrived: 7:15am
Breakfast: 7:20am, some oatmeal, a yogurt, a little bit of banana
Snack: ----
Nap 1: ----
Lunch: 11:30am, a yogurt, a little hummus
Nap 2: 12:30-3:10
Snack 2: 3:10pm, banana
BM: not yet
Special notes: As long as we were out, Sammy seemed fine. However, he had a rough time in the
house. All he wanted was to be
held. He cried quite a bit and wouldn’t
eat much at lunch. I think that his mouth
is hurting him. He seemed to cough more
today, too. After naptime, he was great! :)
A few things we did today: We went for a long walk, went to Kroger and
a brief stop at the Co-op, and went to the Tri playground.
General notes: I had hoped to get to see the butterflies this week with
Milo and Brad, but I think we will skip that for now. Sammy seems a little too vulnerable with his
sickness, so I’m afraid we would get all the way down there and he’d be unhappy
the entire time. I am shooting for next
week! Hopefully we have as nice of
weather as this week!! Because I’m not
sure if the kids are still contagious, I’ll probably hold off on trips to
places like the library as well, at least for this week.

Name: Flora
Date: 5-8-12
Arrived: 7:15am
Breakfast: 7:20am, some oatmeal, a little cheese
Snack: ----
Nap 1: ----
Lunch: 11:30, all blueberries, some cheese, some edamame, the rest of
oatmeal, a little hummus
Nap 2: 12:45-2:20
Snack 2: 2:45, a few crackers before Grandma came
BM: not yet
Special notes: Flora is a water bug!!!
:) She just loves the water…puddles,
bath water, or other.
Name: Samuel
Date: 5-8-12
Arrived: 7:30am
Breakfast: already ate
Snack: ----
Nap 1: ----
Lunch: 11:30, some of my plain yogurt with honey, a little hummus
Nap 2: 12:25-1:30ish
Snack 2: 2:45ish, a couple crackers, then some pretzels
BM: not yet
Special notes: Not much of an appetite today. He has told me several times his mouth
hurts. Poor guy. He’s been pretty clingy this afternoon, too,
but now he seems to be pretty happy.
Naptime, he woke up but was still tired. I tried to rock him a couple different times
with no success. He was content to rock
but then wouldn’t put up with being put back in his crib. I think this little sickness is keeping him
from getting good sleep. The first thing
he told me while he was crying when he woke up was that his mouth hurt. :/
Tried to give him ice water but he just wanted to hold it instead. He should probably sleep pretty well again
tonight.
A few things we did today: We did some of the usual stuff, including a
walk, but then we also played in puddles for a few minutes and took a
bath!
General notes: Sorry for getting behind on my posts. The kids were once again great today! The loved playing in the puddles. They were also really enthusiastic about the
alphabet today…I wish I had recorded it!
Oh, also, Flora taught Sammy the word “boobie” today while they were in
the tub, so Sammy kept saying it over and over and kept giggling. ha

No Pics Today.
Name: Flora
Date: 5-2-12
Arrived: 7:15am
Breakfast: 7:20am, some oatmeal
Snack: ----
Nap 1: ----
Lunch: 11:30am, most of rest of oatmeal, some grapes, some pizza, all
veggies, all blueberries
Nap 2: 12:30pm-3:25pm
Snack 2: 3:30pm, bar
BM: 12:15pm
Special notes: Flora was asleep after about a minute! She was definitely tired.
I forgot to tell you that Flora finishes sentences now in the “Mouse
book” as the kids call it. I’m sure she
does this for you at home, too, with some of your more frequently read books,
but I haven’t seen her do that until the last few days. Pretty fun!
Name: Samuel
Date: 5-2-12
Arrived: 7:30am
Breakfast: ate before
Snack: ----
Nap 1: ----
Lunch: 11:30am, all cottage cheese, quite a bit of cauliflower with a
little PB, most of watermelon, a couple chips and guac
Nap 2: 12:40-1:30pm
Snack 2: 3pm, a bite of banana
BM: 8am, 1:30pm
Special notes: Sammy was so sweet this morning. He gave Jason a kiss, unprompted! :)
I think his poop woke him up, and then he never went back to sleep
after I changed him.
A few things we did today: We stayed around the house: colored, went
for a long walk, listened to music, read books, etc. The kids also wanted me to play trumpet, so
they heard “Dance Myself to Sleep” (Ernie’s sheep song), the ABC’s, and a
couple others. We also played in the
water outside.
General notes: The kids were really great today. Sammy kept making me play more songs on the
trumpet. It might be the new replacement
for his violin requests. Too bad,
because the trumpet is pretty loud… :) I’m
pretty sure the neighbors can’t hear me play the violin, but I’m pretty sure
they can hear the trumpet…

apple and PB, an apple cookie
Nap 2: 1:40-3:25pm
Snack 2: 3:30pm, mini wheats
BM: 12:30pm
Special notes:
A few things we did today: It was a lovely morning. We first went for a walk, then went
Krogering. After that, we headed out to
the community park. The kids walked the
circle around the soccer field nearest the southern entrance. It took us probably 40 minutes to get around
the circle, but they really seemed to enjoy it!
General notes: Sooooo…today when I was in the kitchen cutting up some
onions while the kids were playing in the other room, I began to hear lots of
glass-tapping and giggling. I figured
they saw someone on the sidewalk and whomever it was decided to respond to the
kids, making them giggle. Well, I headed
into the middle room to see what was so funny, and BOTH kids were standing on
the window-sill ledge!!!! Oh my
goodness. They have never even ATTEMPTED
to do that before, so the fact that they were both there successfully without
falling and hurting themselves was rather impressive. After getting over the initial shock and
registering that no one was hurt, it was hard not to giggle at them at least…they
are so sneaky…and so fun! :) Don’t worry, though; I let them know that was
NOT ok to be on the sill. Geesh, just
when you think the house is absolutely baby-proof, the kids grow tall enough to
start attempting dangerous feats of strength and balance! If I wasn’t worried about them falling, I
would have grabbed my camera… hehe :)

April 30, 2012 PICS
Our little bird friends are growing fast!!
I tried to get a picture of both of them sitting at the top...unsuccessfully. :)
Flora loves her "wee-oo"s!
Sammy and his steering wheels!
It is very difficult to get two 2-year-olds to stay together and hold still while playing the harmonica...but you get the idea. :)

Special notes: Sammy was pretty grumpy after we got home from the park…I really think some days he is just tired early. This turns into not eating well at lunch, but I think it all worked out. By the time we hung out in his room and read stories, he actually asked for a nap. He was ready. Maybe we will start trying napping earlier…I know you (Andrea) and I have discussed this before. We can talk about it again! :)
A few things we did today: We went for a lovely walk this morning, then we headed to Hanover Park. The kids had a great time! We also played outback after naps as well as played a little bit with the hose…THAT was fun! The kids just giggled and giggled!
General notes: Hanover Park is a really nice place to visit with the kids. I still get a little bit nervous now and then when the kids get a little farther apart and one of them starts to climb a little high, but they are definitely getting better at climbing, and I’m handling it a little better (at least I think so!). I was so impressed…I saw a lady at the park today and talked to her very briefly; she had 5 kids with her, all probably 4 and under, and she brought them all together in a vehicle! Crazy. I thought it was hard enough rounding up two little guys. But it also gave me hope for babysitters that even if you have more than 2 kids, it is still possible to go out! :)
