Breakfast: finished beforehand

Snack 1: 8:55, grapes and cheese, 1 cookie

Special notes: Sam had trouble in the pool figuring out how to fill a cup with water so he could dump it out, but by the end, he had it figured out, and that’s all he did for quite a while! Fill, pour, fill, pour, as he just sat there in the water. So cute!

A few things we did today: Rec Center!!!

General notes: Well, folks, we made it. :) We had an adventure to the Rec Center today where we played in the pool and had a little time in the gym. The kids were wonderful, and they loved the water (of course)! Flora was persistent on laying on her stomach and crawling around on her hands, which was great, but it often meant swallowing a lot of water (sorry! I tried to explain that the water was yucky, but I don’t think it helped much). We even had a couple older girls come play with us (Rachel and Jesse), which was great! They were wonderful with the kids (though they made me a tiny bit nervous at times), so that was a good experience for the kids as well. We did not escape without accidents, though, one which included Flora slipping and conking her head before I had gotten her pool shoes back on her on the way out from the pool (she didn’t cry too long, so I think she’s fine), and the other included a bit of wiz on the floor of the dressing room (haha, I’ll just keep you guessing which kid it was). All was well, though, in the end, and it was worth the trip. The most difficult part was getting dressed afterward, as it was chilly in the dressing room and the kids were wanting to wander around and explore (floors were still wet, too). So, that was challenging. But once we were all dressed, we headed to the gym to kick a ball around, and Flora kept wandering over to a basketball player (who was nice enough to share his big basketball with her). Wonderful experience overall. I’d definitely do it again sometime. With all the stairs and carrying kids around, I got a workout, too. Added bonus! :)
